Care Group (CG) Ministry and Family Ministry
The best news of my life is when Jesus revealed his grace and love to me in 1984. Not long after, I was called by my church into ministry leadership in 1990. Over here at Mount Carmel, I oversee the Care Group (CG) Ministry and the Family Ministry. Relationship is the key thing in both ministries. CG leaders can feel more supported through equipping and care for better engagement with their groups. In CGs with young children, we attempt to provide relevant help in programming and material recommendation for a more meaningful CG life. The Family Ministry is beginning to equip marriage mentors to strengthen marriages in church and in future, the community. In addition, I oversee the pre-marital course, solemnize weddings and plan the annual father-child camps. Some of my life interests include movies, delighting in God’s creation and savouring another culture’s delicacies. My tribe is tended by my vivacious wife, Sarah. We have two children, Letazia and Macarius. I know their names may be a mouthful for pronunciation, but they got good stories to back up their unique names! If you have a story to tell, my ears are trained and eager, drop me a note here: jabez@carmel.sg
