ABOUT US:  Discipleship in Carmel is mediated through a three-prong approach of “Heads, Hearts and Hands”. To realise this mission, the ECF team works closely with the CG ministry team to provide a holistic discipleship development pathway. Our main teaching platforms are the Sunday ECF classes, seminars and ABC (ECF-BGST classes). In order to multiply and enrich our teaching resources, we work closely with Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST), by offering CBC as a location for BGST classes.

Many of these topics are available on DVD’s and may be loaned from Mt Carmel’s library. Areas include the following:

• Teaching of doctrines (including apologetics);
• Church history and government;
• Biblical exegesis;
• Spiritual formation;
• Understanding worldviews and other religions;
• Missions and evangelism;
• Practical Christianity; and
• Carmel vision, mission, values and ministry

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2014: The ECF ministry conducted 14 Sunday ECF classes and ran 3 ABC modules in 2014. The theme for the ECF classes was on Christian doctrines, mainly taught by our pastors and elders. This is the first time systematic theology is offered by ECF. The 3 ABC modules offered were: a) History of Christianity I: From Jerusalem to Chang’An by Dr Lai Pak Wah; b) God’s Beauty in a Pluralistic Word: Introducing America’s Theologian, Jonathan Edwards by Prof Gerald McDermott; and c) Discipleship and Mentoring, by Dr Tan Soo-Inn.
