Missions Festival 2020
Let’s make good use of the next two weeks to pray, listen, connect – and may God grow our conviction, boldness, and creativity to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations!
In this e-Missions Booklet, our missionaries and partners share their stories on ministering in innovative ways through Covid-19. Our God is unstoppable – His work goes on!
Carmelites who attended the Perspectives Course this year also share their learnings and personal applications. As you read each article, do pray for our missionaries, partners and Carmelites according to the prayer points provided.
1) Friday Night Prayer Meetings
2) Sunday Worship Services
3) Meet The Missionaries
Give to Carmel’s Overseas Missions
1) Bank Transfer or Cheque
What’s the difference between the two missions funds?
1) General Missions Fund: Covers the expenses in the Overseas Missions Ministry Budget
2) Missions Fund-Food Fair: Every year, we raise funds through our Missions Food Fair. This year, we can’t have the food fair, but the need for fundraising remains. The extra money raised will enable our missionaries and partners to do outreach and projects that are not covered under the General Missions Fund, such as the Clean Water Project in Lake Toba.
Remember to indicate which Fund you’re giving to!
2) Book Sale: I Dare to Dream by Dr Low Lee Yong
Our Missions Fest guest speaker, Dr Low Lee Yong, has written two books: I Dare to Dream and I Dare to Dream Big. He would like to donate these books to Mt Carmel as part of our fundraising for our missions works overseas, so all the proceeds will go to the Missions Fund Food Fair.
“I have read them and I found them to be very inspiring how God has guided him from a kampong kid to become a doctor and how he started his company called Make Health Connect. I have been greatly encouraged that Dr Low put integrity and God in his business practices. ” – Rev Peter Teo
